Day 350 – December 15, 2012

Day 350

Rain!  A rare sight for out here.  But it’s been raining for almost 24 hours here.  If you zoom into the drops, they each have an upside down palm tree in them :)

Day 341 – December 6, 2012

Day 341

We had a super pink sunset tonight.  I was sitting at my desk working, when the house started turning pink.  I grabbed my camera and ran outside.

Day 290 – October 16, 2012

I figured using the camera on my phone would happen at least once while I was back east.  We were going to be out and about for all the daylight hours, and I’d forgotten my actual camera at home, so I knew I better shoot something.  When we got to our first stop big, fat raindrops came from a blue sky and hit the windshield for about 1 minute.

Day 284 – October 10, 2012

My family and I spent a few days redecorating my mom and dad’s dining room.  This was before we put the glass doors on the cabinets Her inspiration for her new dining room was bring the forest into her dining room.  When I saw this I said “The forest has officially come into your dining room.”

Day 279 – October 5, 2012

I didn’t realize it was fall until I got to the east coast.  This scarecrow reminded me.

Day 241 – August 28, 2012

Just in case you were wondering, you can capture reflections in your eyes.

Day 134 – May 13, 2012

My husband and I flew to Baltimore, Maryland today to start our summer vacation.  This is the first picture for this project that I didn’t take with my DSLR.  I used my Droid 4’s camera, since I had my DSLR packed in the overhead compartment.

[side note: I’m officially back and I’ve begun uploading the last few weeks of photos that I took all while on my summer vacation.  I had a blast, but it’s always good to be back home.]

Day 79 – March 19, 2012

It doesn’t rain too much out here in the desert.  In fact, I’m pretty sure this is the first time it’s rained here this year.  Last night we even got a little bit of slushy/hail type stuff.  The sun is shining now, but at 6:30 this morning a few little raindrops were falling and hitting my window.  It’s so rare that it rains I just had to use a photograph of the rain for my daily picture.
