Day 350 – December 15, 2012

Day 350

Rain!  A rare sight for out here.  But it’s been raining for almost 24 hours here.  If you zoom into the drops, they each have an upside down palm tree in them :)

Day 291 – October 17, 2012

Afternoon rain drops.

Day 280 – October 6, 2012

My sister took me to our parent’s house last night.  And today it rained.  And the leaves are changing.  I foresee taking many more fall-like shots while I’m out here in Maryland.

Day 267 – September 23, 2012

Today was a lazy day.  So I resorted to my list of “cool shots I’ve seen and want to recreate.”  I’ve seen this done a lot, water droplets on a CD.  I’ve always loved the colors in shots like this.

Day 240 – August 27, 2012

I’ve been trying for a while now to get a cool photo of a water droplet coming out of a faucet.  I can’t get a good one.  So I turned to our outdoor fountain to see if I could get anything cool from it.  This was the best shot from today.  I love how the droplet is pushing all the other water away.  Who knows, maybe one day I’ll actually catch a cool photo of a droplet coming out of the faucet.

Day 188 – July 6, 2012

When I saw this it looked like this piece of grass was crying.  Probably because it’s 105 degrees outside and it’s dying.  Either that or it’s sweating.

Day 183 – July 1, 2012

Tried my first water droplet dancing/jumping type photograph today.  I used some crazy colored paper to try to make it more interesting.  Any tips for creating crazy, cool water droplet photographs?

Day 171 – June 19, 2012

Just goofing around with my macro lens today, trying to see if I could get a reflection of some trees in water droplets.  Nothing I had them on at first was working, so I just used my hand.  That worked the best.  I want to refine this idea.  I love the idea of shots of water droplets with reflections in them.

Day 163 – June 11, 2012

My husband grew a bunch of pretty wildflowers for us.  They made for a good macro today.
