Day 233 – August 20, 2012

Today was our last day in Sedona.  We went to Slide Rock State Park, which was amazing.  I recommend it to everyone.  While I was sitting soaking my feet in the cold water, a water snake decided to scare the crap out of me.  After I calmed down I decided to take its picture.  This is quite a feat for me, considering I’m afraid of spiders, snakes, and basically anything that crawls or slithers.

Day 232 – August 19, 2012

Even though I was surrounded by large red rocks I was happy to find I was still captivated by a small red flower.  Anybody know what type of flower this is?

Day 230 – August 17, 2012

Another shot in film!  One of my favorite hikes in Sedona is up to Fay Arch.  It’s just breathtaking.

Day 229 – August 16, 2012

Today is our first full day in Sedona.  We did some hiking and I passed this amazing, shiny, layered rock on one of our hikes.  This is also the first photo from this daily project that was taken with film!  I wanted to get at least one shot taken in film for this project.

Day 228 – August 15, 2012

We drove up to Sedona, Arizona today.  This place is always amazing.  It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.  We drove in around dinner time and there was a storm rolling in.  Our first stop was The Chapel Of The Holy Cross.

Day 83 – March 23, 2012

On the way back home from the Grand Canyon, we stopped back in Sedona again to see a few more places.  One of which was the Chapel of The Holy Cross.  It’s a church built into the side of some red rocks.  It’s really a gorgeous sight.  This is the view behind the church.  I captured the reflection in the window, and I love that you can still faintly see through into the building.

Day 81 – March 21, 2012

I had an amazing time hiking and exploring Northern Arizona.  I’ve been up there several times, and it’s always so gorgeous.  The weather is always cooler than down here in the desert, so it’s a nice break from the heat.  I was definitely shooting everyday with this project in mind, and now have three days to upload for you.  I wanted to get one up tonight, before I pass out from tiredness and soreness. I’ll catch up the rest of the days this weekend.

This is an agave cactus in Sedona, Arizona, off of the Bell Rock Trail.  Almost everything out in Arizona is sharp, pokey, or poisonous, so I liked the sharp contrast the shadows were creating on this sharp plant.  It’s the little things in life.
