Day 350 – December 15, 2012

Rain!  A rare sight for out here.  But it’s been raining for almost 24 hours here.  If you zoom into the drops, they each have an upside down palm tree in them :)

Day 290 – October 16, 2012

I figured using the camera on my phone would happen at least once while I was back east.  We were going to be out and about for all the daylight hours, and I’d forgotten my actual camera at home, so I knew I better shoot something.  When we got to our first stop big, fat raindrops came from a blue sky and hit the windshield for about 1 minute. 

Day 137 – May 16, 2012

It rained again today and it even hailed a little bit.  After a long day of last minute shopping and getting ready for the cruise, I found myself with no daily picture.  So after dinner I went outside to see what I could come up with.  I had no tripod and it was almost completely dark outside.  I knew I couldn’t capture what was actually happening, so it was time to create an image, paint an image with the camera.  The route of Pictorialism.  And it worked.  It even looks a little Impressionistic.  I just love that I turned all the raindrops into big blue balls.

Day 135 – May 14, 2012

Today I am back home in Maryland at my parent’s house.  It was a completely gray day and it rained off and on.  Very unlike the desert I’ve been living in for the past 5 years.  It is still always nice to come home though.  Mom’s garden was blooming and made for a nice picture today.
