Day 292 – October 18, 2012

When I got closer I realized it wasn’t magic, it was simply stuck to a bunch of spider’s webs.  But I still pretended it was magic.

Day 291 – October 17, 2012

Afternoon rain drops.

Day 289 – October 15, 2012

I knew I’d be shooting outside a lot.  I didn’t realize how nice it would be to have a change of scenery and to be visiting the east coast in the fall.  I got such lovely photos.

Day 288 – October 14, 2012

I noticed these two perfect heart shaped leaves during a portrait session with my sister and her boyfriend.

Day 280 – October 6, 2012

My sister took me to our parent’s house last night.  And today it rained.  And the leaves are changing.  I foresee taking many more fall-like shots while I’m out here in Maryland.

Day 233 – August 20, 2012

Today was our last day in Sedona.  We went to Slide Rock State Park, which was amazing.  I recommend it to everyone.  While I was sitting soaking my feet in the cold water, a water snake decided to scare the crap out of me.  After I calmed down I decided to take its picture.  This is quite a feat for me, considering I’m afraid of spiders, snakes, and basically anything that crawls or slithers.

Day 159 – June 7, 2012

In the past couple days we’ve had some beautiful flowers in the front yard bloom like crazy.  When I went to get the mail I noticed lots of little bees buzzing around the flowers and I decided I should be brave and see if I could capture a photo of them.  They were super fast, never spending more than 2 seconds on a single flower.  Way too fast to be able to get a good macro shot, so I settled for my normal lens and got a few good shots.  This one was my favorite.

Day 152 – May 31, 2012

We’re back from vacation and getting back into the swing of things. I was working inside and my husband was working outside, fixing up the yard and the garden.  When I went outside to check up on Jon, I noticed this little moth on a zucchini leaf, and grabbed my camera to see if I could get a close up shot of him.  He was very cooperative and let me get right near him.

Day 148 – May 27, 2012

Today I went walking around my parent’s property with my littlest sister in search of a daily picture.  She is 8 years old and calls me almost every day to let me know she has followed my blog.  So she was very excited at the prospect of helping me find a daily photo.  We came across this really cool leaf full of holes and wondered what it was that made all of them.

Day 146 – May 25, 2012

‘Trying To Taste Fire’

Our cruise was over this morning.  We arrived back in Baltimore in the early morning and headed home to my parent’s house.  We had a bonfire to unwind.  I had my husband help me come up with a daily photo.  We used a twig from the bonfire to create this.
