What are you making for breakfast Mom?
– I’ll be in California for Thanksgiving, from tomorrow til either Friday or Saturday. So I’ll be posting the photos from this week, next week… Monday or Tuesday probably. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! –

I drew this on our chalkboard about a week ago, mocking those bumper stickers that people have with the families on them. I thought I’d make it part of my 366 Day Photo Project to remember where I was at this point in my life: happy with my husband and 2 dog family. We’re not anti-child forever, but for now we are proud to say that we are kid free since 2003.

I’m not a morning person, but I actually got up early enough to discover something… my kitchen sink sparkles when the sun rises through the window.

This picture wasn’t originally for anything. I walked into my kitchen on January 1, 2012, as the sun was going down, and saw my husband’s water bottle and my dish rack doing wonderful things in the light. And as a photography nerd whose favorite medium is light, I decided to take a picture. I do this a lot: take random pictures, that don’t have anything to do with other things I may be currently working on. But then I remembered the 365 Day Photo Project. A new friend of mine had begun attempting it, and I started thinking that maybe I should try as well. I didn’t plan on this being my ‘Day 1’ shot, since I wasn’t even technically shooting for this project. But here it is. Day 1. And I have officially decided to keep this up for the rest of the year.
