Day 316 – November 11, 2012

I come from a long line of military men.  And today, on Veterans Day, I remember my ancestors, and all the other men and women who have and who are currently serving and sacrificing for this country.  They are all appreciated more than they know.  I happen to be married to the cutest one they’ve got ;)

Day 300 – October 26, 2012

Orange faces watching the fire crackle and draw.

Day 296 – October 22, 2012

It’s my husband birthday, and to celebrate his 25th year I named a star for my adorable astrophotographer.  At night we tried to find it in the sky.  We got the general location down, but we couldn’t really see it.  It was too bright in the backyard.  But we know it’s up there – it’s just southeast of the bottom of the small cluster of stars, in the top left of the photo.

Day 261 – September 17, 2012

So close.  Yet… so far.

Day 258 – September 14, 2012

I drew this on our chalkboard about a week ago, mocking those bumper stickers that people have with the families on them.  I thought I’d make it part of my 366 Day Photo Project to remember where I was at this point in my life: happy with my husband and 2 dog family.  We’re not anti-child forever, but for now we are proud to say that we are kid free since 2003.

Day 255 – September 11, 2012

September 11, 2001 affected us all in a different way, and it still affects us.   There are those who lost someone that day, and there have been almost 8,000 more lost during the past 11 years from the war.   As a 15 year old girl there was no way I could have guessed my future husband would be sent overseas to the war 8 years later, because of that day.

Even if we don’t agree with the war, we can always support our troops.

Day 239 – August 26, 2012

This weekend has been laid back and fun for my daily pictures. Yesterday I posed and today my husband posed.  He’s been my model/assistant for 6 years now.  As a photographer, it’s nice being married to a handsome man who lets you take pictures of him.

If you don’t know who Edward Weston is, Google him and fall in love with his portraiture.  He was my inspiration behind this portrait.

Day 231 – August 18, 2012

Today we went to the Grand Canyon.  This was my husband’s and my second trip this year.  I don’t think I could ever get tired of such a gorgeous place.

Day 214 – August 1, 2012

This might be fun to see what everyone comes up with.  Come up with a title for this image and comment below!
