Self-portrait with flash.

I’ve been messing around with my external flash lately.  I’m not a very big flash user.  So far I’ve only used it at weddings.  But I know I need to get better at using it.  Who’s got flash tips for me?

Day 137 – May 16, 2012

It rained again today and it even hailed a little bit.  After a long day of last minute shopping and getting ready for the cruise, I found myself with no daily picture.  So after dinner I went outside to see what I could come up with.  I had no tripod and it was almost completely dark outside.  I knew I couldn’t capture what was actually happening, so it was time to create an image, paint an image with the camera.  The route of Pictorialism.  And it worked.  It even looks a little Impressionistic.  I just love that I turned all the raindrops into big blue balls.
