Day 290 – October 16, 2012

I figured using the camera on my phone would happen at least once while I was back east.  We were going to be out and about for all the daylight hours, and I’d forgotten my actual camera at home, so I knew I better shoot something.  When we got to our first stop big, fat raindrops came from a blue sky and hit the windshield for about 1 minute.

Day 231 – August 18, 2012

Today we went to the Grand Canyon.  This was my husband’s and my second trip this year.  I don’t think I could ever get tired of such a gorgeous place.

Day 228 – August 15, 2012

We drove up to Sedona, Arizona today.  This place is always amazing.  It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.  We drove in around dinner time and there was a storm rolling in.  Our first stop was The Chapel Of The Holy Cross.

Day 206 – July 24, 2012

Back in January I took a night shot of a plane passing overhead – Day 8.  And I remembered that shot today when I took this shot.  I was fascinated by how small 200 people flying overhead this fluffy cloud could look.

I will try to veer away from the clouds after today.  But it was nice to have them in the sky, and in my shots for a few days.

Day 205 – July 23, 2012

You’ll have to pardon me while I continue my cloud obsession.  We just don’t see them around here very often, so I’m simply taking advantage of them.  Today I loved the clouds reflection in this sky blue colored airplane.  Also, I’m anticipating a few more cloud photos to come.

[side note: I’ve been super busy for a few days, and am looking forward to tomorrow when I can catch up on all the blogs I follow. So hurry and post all those blogs for me so I have something to do tomorrow :)]

Day 204 – July 22, 2012

Some times the birds are just in the right place at the right time.

Day 202 – July 20, 2012

Little circles of sky.

Day 196 – July 14, 2012

Since this is probably the 10th day this year that we’ve had clouds, I took advantage of it.  A bit like my Day 3 shot but these clouds were too cool to pass up.

Day 187 – July 5, 2012

Last night while we were watching the fireworks, I realized that on the opposite side of the sky there was a full moon.  So I decided that tonight I would try to get a nice shot of the full moon.  There were even clouds left over from yesterday’s monsoon.  So with the help of my astrophotographer husband, we took this 1.3 second long exposure.

Day 184 – July 2, 2012

I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take a picture of these crossed palm trees.  There even happened to be a few clouds in the valley today, which added to the photo.
