Day 239 – August 26, 2012

This weekend has been laid back and fun for my daily pictures. Yesterday I posed and today my husband posed.  He’s been my model/assistant for 6 years now.  As a photographer, it’s nice being married to a handsome man who lets you take pictures of him.

If you don’t know who Edward Weston is, Google him and fall in love with his portraiture.  He was my inspiration behind this portrait.

  1. I love Edward Weston’s work.

    • Me too. One of my all time favorites. Especially when it comes to printing. I got to meet Edward’s grandson a few years back. It was pretty cool to hear someone close to him talk about him.

  2. I love Edward Weston and all of the f64 Group – studied them lots along with many others… how about posing your hubbie as a migrant farm worker now and doing a Walker Evans type shot :-)

    • Yeah me too. What a great group of photographers! And that is a swell idea. We have plenty of empty farmland around here. hmm… I’ll see if I can get a shot like that, that would be awesome.

  3. Great art is inspired by great art and what an inspiration Edward Weston is. Thank you, Robert
