In the past couple days we’ve had some beautiful flowers in the front yard bloom like crazy. When I went to get the mail I noticed lots of little bees buzzing around the flowers and I decided I should be brave and see if I could capture a photo of them. They were super fast, never spending more than 2 seconds on a single flower. Way too fast to be able to get a good macro shot, so I settled for my normal lens and got a few good shots. This one was my favorite.

great shot and it IS hard to capture those when they are in such a rush ;)
Thanks! Yeah they were. I realized this project is getting me to to do a lot of things I’ve never done before. I wouldn’t normally stand outside in the 100 degree heat taking 100 pictures of bees that might sting me. haha
I know what you mean…I on the contrary am standing in the rain often enough taking my pictures…wouldn’t think I would do that either :D
Exactly. We must look like a bunch of weirdos to the outside world :)
Sweet little bee. :)
Yep :) Finally one posed for me for longer than 2 seconds.
